The Anglican Church in the Aude
After a number of years south of the city we now meet in Carcassonne, currently in the Hôtel Mercure Cité.
Services are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Sundays.
Our congregation numbers about 12 adults, but these numbers increase at festivals and for special services.
All members of the congregation are encouraged to participate, to read lessons, help with the music, and importantly join in the fellowship after the service .
We welcome all visitors, seeking an English speaking church, whether they live locally or are on holiday in and around Carcassonne.

Sunday 11th December - 10h30 - Advent Morning Prayer
The Third Sunday of Advent
The Readings are:-
The Collect is
O Lord Jesus Christ,
who at your first coming sent your messenger
to prepare your way before you:
grant that the ministers and stewards of your mysteries
may likewise so prepare and make ready your way
by turning the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the just,
that at your second coming to judge the world
we may be found an acceptable people in your sight;
for you are alive and reign with the Father
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

We have written to the Catholic Bishop of Carcassonne to ask whether we can use a church just outside the city that seems to be ideal for our needs. We are awaiting a response from either the Bishop or the Priest in Charge of the particular church. The church is in a very community minded and forward thinking village which we believe will help us with both attracting English speakers to services and church led events.
