Centre Paroissial, Terre Rouge, Cahors

We have been worshipping in Cahors since 1964. Our congregation started with home-meetings and has met over the years in two Roman Catholic chapels.

We now worship in the chapel of the Roman Catholic Centre Paroissial in Terre Rouge on the second and fourth Sunday mornings of the month at 10h00. We attract an average congregation of 20 or more, some members travelling 60 kms to be with us on Sundays. Services on the major festivals are well-attended, our Christmas Carol services being especially popular. We have strong ecumenical links to the other Christian churches in the area.

Members contribute to our worship by helping to lead services, reading, and serving refreshments. Bring and Share lunches have been regular features on the calendar in the past, and we hope to return to them in the autumn if the health situation permits. We are also in the process of rebuilding our participation in the wider community after the pandemic. This is a great place to live, and our worship and fellowship really add to the experience.

Do join us.

Eternal God,

Home Groups

Over the last ten years or so, three home groups were established in and around Cahors — Cahors, Montaigu de Quercy, and Basse Vallée (Prayssac, Puy l’Evêque). All met weekly during Advent and Lent, and fortnightly during the remainder of the year. This gave us the opportunity to explore our faith centred on a mix of Bible reading and other texts, in the company of others of like mind. The home-groups also provide a ready source of mutual help and support.

Bibles

As with our worship activity, it was necessary to suspend this activity in 2020: however, the Montaigu group has been meeting regularly again since 2021, the last meeting before the summer recess was on June 30, followed by a Communion and a bring and share lunch. The regular meetings will resume in September, date to be agreed.

If you would like to discover more, then please do not hesitate to contact Georgina Hodgson on 05 65 36 07 30 or contact her by E-mail here.

We’d love to see you!
